History

Langosh is a traditional Hungarian street food that dates back to the Middle Ages. Originally, it was baked in brick ovens, but today it is typically deep-fried. Born in the heart of Hungary, nestled among rolling hills and picturesque villages. Its story begins in the 19th century, where it started as a humble by-product of bread baking. After the main loaves were baked, families would take the leftover dough, stretch it thin, and cook it near the fire. The name “Langosh” comes from the Hungarian word “láng,” meaning flame, referring to the traditional method of preparation.
